SCBA Distinguished Attorneys of the Year
For more than 20 years, the Sacramento County Bar Association has conferred an annual award on a member attorney who has made Sacramento a better place to live and work. Once called the Lawyer of the Year Award, the award is now known as the Distinguished Attorney of the Year Award. Recipients have come from all practice areas, and each has made significant contributions to the community – legal and beyond. Although most awards were given to attorneys still active in the community and whose contributions did not stop when they were named the Distinguished Attorney of the Year, several were awarded posthumously. Listed here are the last 29 award recipients and some of the ways each made a positive impact on the community.
